Its one thing to crush a car that some one was caught street racing w/ but another to speculate that this is what a car is used for...

It's an election year in this province (Ontario), and he needs votes. The guy is talking out of his ass. This is not law, and most importantly it is non-constitutional, so anyone with a half decent lawyer would likely get off and drive away with their car.

I dont think body mods count, it doesnt make you car go faster does it?? haha If a cop gave me crap about my car being modified and wanted to crush it i would make sure only one of us lived to tell about it, although if it was me who lived i wouldn't tell anyone about it! haha That's total BS and very much like a dictatorship.

What he means is that body mods will attract the attention of the police. Then they have reason to check your engine bay. So I would be in trouble there and get a ticket..... for having such a weak engine, lol.

I'd be curious to see what the stats are for street racing deaths VS. Drunk driving Deaths. IMO this policy should be aimed at drunk driving. Busted for a dui means no car for a year or car is gone forever.

I don't see how if your car is modded it means your going to be racing. I mean if you buy an M5 are they going to crush it because its a modded 5 series. Some of these ppl need to really think before they speak. As if the police are going to be able to just pull you over because your car is lowered, seize it and destroy it net alone if you were not breaking any laws.

Going hardcore against racers while the drunks are allowed to carry on with not the same level of repercussions. This doesn't make sence to me.
