Can I still use my warranty?

I have a 2003.5 MSP and my engine is making rod noise. When I bought the car it had a performance air intake filter, boost guage and a straight pipe in place of the stock catalytic convertor. What do I do in order to use the warranty or to fix this problem?

good luck with that, chances are whoever you got the car from was boosting the crap out of the car and they are not going to cover it

Yeah, they beat me too it. Good louck, with that. I don't think you'll have luck, see what other people are having problems with just and intake or boost gauge. Well let us know how it turns out for you. Good luck

if the dealership is nice you will be fine.
that is if there is no evidence of boost controllers.
an air filter and midpipe will not void your warranty with a reasonable dealer.
good luck

I'd say take the boost controller off (if there is one) put the stock airbox back on (if you have it) and take it in (if it's still under warranty)

if you bought this car from a mazda dealer they should fix it, if it's still in the same condition in which you bought it...

if they sold you a used car with existing problems, that would fit the mazda dealer M.O. to a T.

i had some good experiences with my dealer about 2 weeks ago. my car was in an accident a few months after i got it, and i've done a few mods since then including mbc, fmic, cai, midpipe, and boost gauge (a few others but you get the point). i had something wrong with something in the suspension and the dealer fixed it under warranty. i also have a CEL and the guy was real cool about it, he read the code for free and told me its no big deal, everything was ok, but i'd have to change some things before my next inspection. This was in Tysons Corner virginia, with a guy named Bill.

Thanks guys but I took it in and they said the warrenty was void. The damage was $5,090 I paid it I get my car next week after full inspection and I get an extended warranty of 12 months. Whatever, I'll just have save my money again so I can start modifying it
