can i bolt new p5 head on a 96 pse 2.0???

anybody know if a new fs motor head will change over with the proper wireing and ecu to an old fs motor on a 96 probe? i'm asking this in here because it has to do with getting rid of the distributor for coil packs and alowing some clearance for a turbo header. any info would be greatly appreaciated. i've done a lil searching on probetalk and it seems most 2.0 owners on our board are affraid to mess with this motor. I'm sure Bryan P. will have some answers though.

You could do it but it woudl envolve alot. You would be better off getting an electromotive stand alone probably cheaper too and just using their stand alone wiht dual coil packs and ditch the disti. But I will tell you now DIS is a pain in my butt i would stay disti if i were you and just find a way to make it fit I know it can be done Bryan did it!!

i've thought a lot about getting a tec 3 from electromotive and all but there's not too much room under the hood between the radiator and the block and i'm pretty sure i'll have some issues with the problemsom o2 sensors of these cars. :shrug: although i'll look into it some more. i don't really plan on even getting this whole kit together and put on for another year or so.
