Hi Guys
My CX-7 was in an accident back in January, was t-boned by a guy running a stop sign. My front passenger side got shmucked up quite a lot. The front passenger fender was replaced as part of the work and they had to remove the front bumper and refinish it.
Anyways, after the accident I noticed a whistling noise from the CX-7 when travelling at speeds over 70 km/h (~40 mph). I've finally tracked it down to an area of the front grill work on the passenger side to the left of the large air intake. I've covered the area with tape and whistling goes away.
I'm just curious to see if something is missing from that area when the repairs were done or if it is misaligned. I've had the car at both the dealership and the body shop the dealership uses for body work. Car has been gone for weeks on end and I finally told them to forget about it, I'll look for it myself (my vehicle was also damaged while they had it in their care - bumper was scratched and the front tire got a gash in it; looks like someone clipped a curb real hard). So I didn't want to leave it with them for any extended periods of time any longer. The dealership agreed to repair the scratch but I had to argue with them about the tire. But all was settled to my satisfaction.
I'd like to ask if any one here would mind taking a few photos of that area of their CX-7 (some close ups would be great) or if anyone has a workshop manual and could forward me the pages that show the parts of that area of the vehicle so I could see if something is missing. Anything would be helpful.
Thanks for your time and any photos/info you can provide.
