CamShaft Performance Question

Not sure if this will help anyone or not but this is what the service manager at Harrelson mazda said. I asked if the mazdaspeed cams would void the warranty. He said since it is a mazda speed then no they wouldn't void the warranty unless they could prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that the cams caused the problem. Also he advised getting them to put the cams in to further eliminate any problems with warranty. I am still debating on what to do here but I had planned on getting both of the mazdaspeed cams.

Would I get a better increase from just the exhaust cam or would both be better??

If I am just doing cams and only have an exhaust and intake as other mods would I need a fuel controller or something?????

I'm gonna go ahead and say that you will get a better boost from both cams as opposed to just the exhaust cam... and I'm no mechanic, but as far as I know, you should be ok just getting the cams installed... intake, exhaust and cams shouldnt need any additional add ons.

If I'm wrong someone go ahead and call me on it... we all know what happened when I gave advice on the grill... LOL

those mazdaspeed cams are not wild enough to require any other controllers. the ecu should be able to handle them if reset properly.

True the stock cams are from different castings. But if you look at the MS cam you will see it is just a reground FS-ZE intake cam blank. If you tried to disinguish the intake and exhaust cams by their markings you couldn't all the same. The only visable different it the keyway position and the green stripe on the cam. Same as the MS pistons look at them and teh FS-ZE pistons and you can see a littel less dish but the main visable difference is the blue stripe across the top of the pistons. MS is crafty like that.
