I know corksport sells the intake cam from the fs-ze motor but i want to change both cams on my car where can i buy the two cams thatll give me more power

SR motorsports has both, they say 18HP total, but Other folks on the forum say that not true. Around 10-12HP.

Sr motorsports is just a jspec intake cam and a jspec intake cam modified for exhaust- Ive heard bad things about that setup (plus its wayyy overpriced)

Wagner motorsports is supposed to make cams, but the wait is pretty long.

thanks awsome man yea 10-12 is still good especially since im n/a right now

+rep

Corksport sells the FS-ZE intake camshaft and if you wand the MS exhaust camshaft just take your stock intake camshaft and have it repinned to a exhaust camshaft. The gains with this setup is minima though about 3-5 whp. If you want more power out of camshafts buy blanks and get it machined to your specs.

get the rest of your exhaust system done first, then UDP, then suspension then worry about cams

After reading your sig I'd believe you know what you are talking about :D

Twilightprotege what is you hp now?

best i have is 105.something kw at the wheels. which is about 141whp. the microtech hasnt given me a huge jump in peak power, but the whole power curve has a massive increase. huge increase in torque from 3000rpm up

going drag racing again this coming saturday. hope to beat my pb of 14.860

141 WOW that would be sweet and all motor to boot. Less weight than a turbo with all its tubing and intercooler.

I think the turbos more than make up their weight in power ;)

Nonetheless, twilightprotege's car is nothing short of awesome. Him and being poor have encouraged me to stay NA. cough*unlesswompcomesoutandisgood*cough

So, NA seems even better to me now! ....

Yeah I have to agree. There's just something about N/A being challenging. Everyone just slaps a turbo on the car and thats all they care about. Some people like to get as much power without use of turbo, nitrous etc.

I'm interested in the intake cam with what I've been reading. I think I'll get the FS-ZE intake cam and see how that goes, then look into this "repinning the stock intake cam as an exhaust cam" as suggested in this thread, does anyone have any numbers (not that they matter since they are so small, but they'll help me decide if it's even worth it).

Zverg, what's up with the intake cam? Did you do cam gears as well? I've heard that if you don't do gears, you've got to set it up by actually adjusting the timing belt. Any info would be greatly appreciated. By someone, I'm sure. Not looking to do this anytime soon................just curious.

Yeah you have to deal with the timing belt, it wasn't too bad though, as long as you have air tools (which I had to buy). I had to manually time the engine, which wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be, you just make sure the crank pulley is turned so that cylinder 1 is at top dead centre, and then align the I on the intake cam gear with the E on the exhaust cam gear, slip the timing belt on, then slowly spin the crank pulley a few times and make sure the I still lines up with the E when cylinder 1 is at top dead centre. I have to do it all again in a few days because I'm replacing the timing belt since I got oil on it during the install.
