CAI, exhaust combination

Hello, I am new to this site and have searched this particular forum but have not found the answers that I am looking for. I have my eye on two simple upgrades.
(1) Injen CAI and (2) Racing Beat Exhaust. I would just like to ask two questions about them.
First of all, are there any common problems associated with these types of upgrades? - anything I should watch out for, or if there are any pointers on installation that would help me avoid any problems.
My second question is if these two are a good combination for the money. I have read about an Ebay CAI and I just would rather spend the money on the Injen - especially after reading all of the good feedback from other members - and I like the way it looks. I haven't read about any other exhaust systems so I am curious if there is anything better in the same price range - Thank you for any information regarding these issues.

Oh yeah, what is the best way to position the engine coolant resevoir after the injen intake has been installed? And does it really put out a nice loud hissing noise? I love noise.

Sup, inflections! welcome to tha club. :)
I'll try to answer your ? as best as I can...

One thing people worry about with the Injen or any cold-air intake is water getting sucked up when you go thru deep puddles(hydrolock). That's the reason that I went for a short-ram. AEM makes great short-ram intakes, or you can get a cheap-o off of Ebay. I got a cheap-o and I like it a lot. If you do get an Ebay intake, remember to check the seller's feedback before you send them your money. Also look for a washable(not paper) filter.

The only thing to really worry about when you install the intake is the Master Cylinder. It's near where the intake comes out of the throttle body. Make sure the intake clears it by at least a thumbs-thickness. When you gas it, the engine torque moves everything around a little and the last thing you want on the freeway is a broken Master Cylinder...;)

If you do want to get an Injen, it comes with a bracket to move the coolant res...1 bolt, Super simple.

Here's an Injen install how-to, and a hint: Dont take off the front bumper! you can peel back pert of the wall of the wheel well to install/access the cone. You'll know what I mean when you get there.

You can acutally move the coolant resevior to a better location other that what Injen recommends by simply relocating using the same OEM bracket to a provided threaded hole near the fender well..Peace!:)

AS people have already noted..is the Master Brake Cylinder...gets very close to aftermarket intakes...so becareful when installing other wise it might cause a hole in the intake..which will cause irradic(sp) idling...

Many people have told me that racing beat exhaust is really nice...

You can expect gains w/ both upto 10hp...maybe...

It's gonna give you that loud hissing noise you have been looking for...I have a short ram intake!

If you install a Injen..you will have to move coolent resivoir..but that are more holes for you to relocate it over some...It's a fairly simple thing to do...

Good Luck..
