When is a good time to clean the intake...ive had it on there for about 10k miles estimated and havent cleanded it yet

Instructions says every 20k but I think it would be a good idea to do it before then. I'd do it around 10 to 15k if I were you just to be safe.

Advice on cleaning it guys?

depends on what kind of filter you have.

I have the AEM dryflow, so its rinse, dry and put back on.

If you have one that needs to be reoiled (spelling?) then you have to clean it with solution, then reoil it and dry it.

There are alot of places online that sell the cleaning kits.

I believe it does come a solution, but i don't believe its required to clean it. It just helps get some of the excess dirt out of the filter.

Seems like it would be a hard thing to get at to take off. Is there an easy way to get at the CAI without having to go to too much trouble? (uhm)

yea my cai came with 2 bottles, 1 per cleaning but a bucket with soap and water should do
The instructions say to use both bottles for one cleaning. You can get more from AEM or your friendly Mazdaspeed dealer. I got mine from Tonkin.
