I bought my P5 10.5 years ago with 52k on the odo. Now it's got 135k and over my ownership, it *never* broke down on me. Started right up every time I turned the key, and got me to my destination every time.
At 100k I replaced the timing belt and water pump, full expecting it to take me another 100k. But recently I took it into the mechanic to find out what was knocking in my front suspension and he advised me to not drive the car anymore as the passenger side frame rail was completely corroded where it attaches to the rear subframe. It's a shame, the motor still runs like a peach.
Now I've got to figure out with which high hoodline, thick roof pillar car to replace it. Modern cars look s*** compared to '90s and '00s cars.
Thanks Mazda for producing an outstanding product. No thanks Maryland for oversalting winter roads and killing my fine P5.
