It was very hard to say goodbye to Salene, but now I have this!!!

What a HUGE difference in get up & go......Im loving this car soooooo much already. The only thing Im not too keen on is the keyless keyfob thing. Its HUGE! Look at the size of this thing......

anyways, im loving it so much.....does anyone want to point me in the direction of things I might want/need for my new ride? *

I can't say welcome to the family since you previously owned a mazda, but welcome to the Speed 6 family. Car looks good, but I hope there is something up with the photo angle or paving part where you parked... look at the wheel gaps... haha.

As for the keyless FOB, I have one too, but I actually don't mind it. Not sure what big is to you but it's only the size of a credit card... I like the fact of never reaching into my pockets to look for keys though, very conveinent.

I recomend you get a shark fin antenna or cx-7 antenna if you want to save some money to start with...

I went in to get a CEL looked at and walked away with my speed6.....oh man, it feels so good to type "my speed6" haha

Congrats on the ride. Looks clean. The credit card key is kind of funky but I never take mine out of my pocket so its not bad.

Plenty of threads about starting mods but definately a CAI or SRI. Might as well get the turbo inlet too so you can do the entire intake at once. Opens up the car and allows you to hear the turbo / stock bpv which is just heaven.

i dont plan on doing anything major to this car but a new intake sounds like a fun little project. Im staying away from suspension......I learned my lesson from the pro5 and wont touch that stuff again! Id like to tint the windows more and maybe a few minor things here and there......

question to those of you that have a speed6 already....did yours come with a little black lip under the front bumper or is that aftermarket?

it come stock. and as far as not touching the suspension, how bad of a bad experience did you have to make you not want to get rid of some wheels gap?

As far as the suspension goes, I just didnt like the ride after a while. I ran tokico blues with evotion springs on the pro5. I loved the look and handling of the car, but after a few years the ride really started to suffer. In the long run, I felt it wasnt worth it since I kept ripping my DGM lip off all the freakin' time. But who knows, I say this now (just like I said when I bought the pro5) and I might change my mind later on.

FMIC= Front Mount Intercooler

Couple of cheap mods are sharkfin antenna,Blackout badges,HDlip.... Recommend a AP to free up those turbo ponies...Even stock its a noticable improvement...

Congrats, and welcome to the Forced Induction All-Wheel Drive family!

Shark fin or stubby antenna is a good start. CAI or SRI. If you get any significant snow there, I don't recommend lowering it. I was driving my baby through 4-inches of the white stuff today and LOVE LOVE LOVE the way it does. If it were lowered, not as much snow fun.

Glad I could help! I'd also recommend the motor mount right away if you're gonna do the shifter. Skip the sharkfin and get a CX-7 if you wanna save a few bucks and get the rear mount instead.

He rebuilt the car partially. I would assume the bumper is new and just didnt come with the scoop.. i doubt that specific car had a FMIC on it or i would THINK it would have been there all smashed up when he bought it. not sure tho.

sounds like he might just be talking about the home depot lip

There are several reasons it could be gone;

1 - FMIC was installed (CP-es removed the splitter)
2 - damaged
3 - bumper was improperly repaired.

Don't make an assumption though.

Was the car bought on salvage title or as a clean title?

Car has a clean title and everything. I got the carfax on it and it has no issues. It was originally owned by a woman who leased it (or so says the dealership; if that's true or not I'm not 100% sure) I'll try to snap some shots today before I head home from work....
