Bye Bye P5...Hello MS6!

Hey guys,

I just bought an MS6 tonight....I will be sad to see the P5 go as it was so fun to drive, but it's time to move on to bigger and better things :)

I got $3000 CDN off + 10 free oil changes as a deal.

I took a base model in silver (liquid platinum metallic).

I'm anxious to get it. Everything should be ready by next Tuesday...I'll be sure to post some pics!

I'd say too bad about the P5, but what's the point! The MS6 is a great choice, and you're going to love it. I'm quite jealous, actually (you bastard).

Be sure to take some pics when you get her. Any plans?

wow! nice way to move up!! and yes, pics are definitely in order :)

Thanks! As for plans, it could certainly use a drop, but I think I'll keep it stock for a year and see how it goes.

I am sure you took off the racing beat and typhoon intake, right?

I actually sold my intake about 1 month ago.

I drove it into the dealership with the RB catback, RB springs and DaveB rings and they gave me $500 extra for the P5 if I kept the catback on the car. They couldn't believe how nice it sounded. One guy even asked me if it was the Mazdaspeed Protege5 I had....I should have said yes damn it!!

Well, the springs were worth $50, the rings, $50, and the RB worth $250 used, $400 new. You made out, and someone will get a car that has the best exhaust, sweet springs, and rings people covet.

Enjoy the ms6!

Actually the rings are already sold to someone else, and this weekend I'm stripping all the accesories from the car (cargo tray, cargo net, etc)

I didn't mention the springs in case they would have given me a difficult time. They can discover that on their own. Oh, and it also has a 323 badge lol

Good the rings were removed. The next owner will probably get a mighty fine car. I have the same springs. Tough to notice. Good you stayed in the family.

Yeah, the next owners better appreciate it, they are also getting brand new Falken 512's as well. The dealership even told me how it was in such good condition. There was already a couple looking at it while i was inside dealing on a price.

Why would they lose money to sell you a car? MS6 doesn't have $3000 of mark up in Canada.

because they are not selling. Honestly, dealers are getting frustrated with trying to get rid of them. Great cars, but in the wrong price bracket.

Congrats on the car. Great move from a P5. I'm hoping to move into one myself at around August or Sept.

Meantime, if anyone is looking for a 2003.5 Mazdaspeed on the east coast....

Seems to be an eastern problem. The western dealers are selling everyone they can get at sticker price. Different game in the high population areas I guess.

nice upgrade :)

It sure is....I wasn't even considering this car until I realized that they gave such great rebates on them. I basically got this car for 3K more than a MS3 is going to be priced.

Actually, they aren't selling that well in Montreal either....problem is most people shopping for the 6 want an automatic. It's also very difficult to get the Audi or BMW crowd to even sit in one as well. It's sad, because it's such a great car.

Oh well, more rebates for me :)

Look what popped into my driveway today...
