tonka, yes i read the emails...for (1) and (2) ... that's why i wrote "they're pretty messed up with displaying their products and didn't wanna admit it".. well, of course taking somebody else's picture and pretend it's yours is a lame thing for sure and companies often try to hide the s*** they did by blabbering stupid stuff (your point 4) not admitting that they did something wrong.. this is pretty common in life and also a pretty common thing on ebay, too... as i said: divizionone seems to be a pretty regular ebayseller in ANY of those ways...

about (3)...
well..even if the retail price is 160 and they wanna sell it for 250.. do you really blame them for trying to make profit? i mean that's the main business of a vendor.. buying for (x), selling for (x+profit) ... if someone is willing to pay this 250.. let him do it.. even if it's so much more than retail (or is this somehow prohibited in the US?)

I will test fit every single combo I send to each of you guys and I will then be able to promise each and every one of you that I have personally fitted and am more than certain that the fittment is superb on every single combo.

That way we will not have any other complaints and that will make this forum light up with more posititve feedback that I so greatly appreciate.

bottom line... $250 is what they wanted for a $160 product. RIP OFF. and protege5 lights (as they claim were what were up for auction) is definitely not what they have available. then he says that the webmaster's car is their project car and the pic of the lights pre-install weren't available. the implication of the headlights in the pic was that of the webmaster's is clear, and i quote,

"you're getting what's in the photo except for the carbon fiber eyelid."

that's right. he KNEW what the pic in the auction looked like. yet he later says,

"We ordered this directly from our manufacturer and installed it on our project Protege which belongs to our webmaster. We never got a chance to take pictures of the item before installing them."

this is without EVER mentioning the fact that the PICTURED car is NOT the webmaster's car, nor is it of the product being offered.

best case scenario, they aren't forthcoming in their information. worse case scenario, they tried to pass off something as their own when in fact, it isn't. in either case, would you want them being a vendor on here?

how many people would be pissed off to hell when they ordered these lights up for auction by this company, only to find out they were getting a different product?

I think it was a simple mistake, give the man a break, and welcome another distributor or Protege parts into the forum. He knows now to take pictures of the ACTUAL product before listing it, or using a disclaimer and ask permission to use another persons picture. Sometimes actual pictures arent available.

OK, so this isnt a picture of my car. My car is orange and this one is blue. I just didnt have access to a camera so I stole this picture and tried to play it off as mine.

About the intake example..

Just to warn everyone ( who probably already know ) do NOT buy the Revzo's intake linked to below. It does not fit properly at all. The picture even shows' that it is short one coupler. You need the ones with the black leading elbow, not grey.

Liveonspeed is the only one consistenly selling the correct ones, and now in different colors too!(eekdance)

good catch. there are many intakes on ebay that are true CAI type with an elbow, two couplers, piping, and a filter for less than $50 before shipping. a quick search for protege 5 cold air intake yields this:

yeah, it definitely has the MB front bumper. i'm willing to put some $$$ down that it's steve's car. corksport has that pic up from DG's site cause they sell DG's stuff. DG's site has steve's car as an inset picture, whereas corksport has it as their main pic.

Yeah those are the ones. I got mine from Liveonspeed for $59.50 shipped, and he let me ship to a US address despite me being in Canada, so I could save on shipping. I then just picked it up from Blaine just south of me. Its pained blue and works great.

He doesn't sell them all the time, and they sell out fast, as that price above is with Buy It Now. You have to email him if you want to know when other will be coming up. He has polished, blue and red.
