Think it may be cheaper to replace than to repair it. Our radiators are plastic, not metal, so not too many times can they be repaired. Of course, JB Weld fixes everything. A guy I used to work with had his metal radiator in an 80 Chrysler New Yorker rust out at the base of the filler neck. He JB Welded the sonofabitch, and drove it for 2 years before he sold it. Never had a problem. The problem we have is our plastic radiators. Not too many shop will even attempt to fix them. And the last thing you want is to be on a road trip or something and have it fail on you.

The best damn epoxy type glue ever! I heard NASA is gonna JB Weld the Columbia back together.

\ packs bags for express train to hell.

you'd better go look at your radiator again.... only the end caps are plastic... the core itself is aluminum.

as for if it can be fixed or not I wouldn't even try.... find one in a bone yard for cheaper than having that fixed.

I meant the outer case is plastic. That is the hard part to repair. You got to take apart the plastic to get inside. I know the core is aluminum. Good call though!

i called my guy who has the MSP rad here at the shop, i know he does'nt need it any more, let me see what kind of price i can get it to you for

Thanks again Chris. (eventhough I didn't need it)
I went yesterday and got it fixed for $48! Not too bad, much cheaper than a new one. And having started college today I need to save all the money I can. So with that being said I voted that yes it can be fixed. :D

Right, looks repairable but I would get an estimate first and then price a salvage unit (including install costs) and an aftermarket before you decide.

i'll post it up tomorrow, the batteries for the digi camera are dead and i'm going to get some new ones tomorrow.

they welded the hole shut and sealed it with some type of liquid aluminum that hardens and has about the same cooling capability as regular aluminum.
