build your own intake??

hey i bought the Turbolife FMIC and i have the stock intake SRI and i dought that will work with the new intake and i dont reallt want to spend like 200 bucks on an aftermarket. i hear u can make ur own from exhaust pipe. anyone tried it?

you can get a piece of 45degree pipe and coupling for that to turbo and the filter. Cut the piece to fit and your good

look at my thread in sig. i ended up cutting it so its basically just a 45...

All you need is either on of these at what ever size you need and cut it to fit your application.

Then: to fit your turbo inlet and whatever size you decided to use for intake pipe:

and to top it all off, name your brand and shape and match that opening up with the size piping you decided as well:

thats a pretty short intake pipe haha. how is it with the engine heat? does it get enough cold air?

i have a fmic, so it really doesn't matter...but ya it works fine.. doesn't get that hot at all..

word I went to Autozone and bought a coupler and used stainless steal pipe I had laying around an made a short ram... easiest project ever
