My Linux box at work crashes more often than my Windows box. Linux the kernel may be more stable than Windows (although I've never really had stability issues with a Windows NT or 2000 server after setup), but Linux with Gnome or KDE running on top of it is generally a big pain in the ass.

wow....which distro? I've had 2 linux boxes running at home for about 2 years and never crashed yet. I run Mandrake 9.1 with KDE.

On the other hand my work laptop has Win2K on it and it gives a BSOD about every 3rd time I start up NetMeeting.....and it's a friggin' Microsoft app!!! You'd think their own apps would work on their own OS.....wrong!
