Broken moon roof switch (2014 CX-5)

My moon roof switch literally broke off last night in my 2014 CX5. Does anyone know if I can replace just the switch or if I have to replace the whole overhead console with lights etc. Also, do you know if this is something a general mechanic could do, or do I have to take it to auto electrician? Thanks!

I'm not sure about the switch, but the console is reasonably easy to access. There are a couple of screws in the eyeglass storage you can remove.

I see someone selling separately but unsure if they harvested from salvage parts

Thanks. I did watch a video on how to replace the console and it looked pretty straightforward. I'm considering trying to do it myself if I replace the whole console.

This is a common failure (I just did one in my 2015 CX-5 GT). I've been looking and looking and found zero replacement switches (new ones). I have figured out that these are all KD45-69971 with minor differences.
If anyone does find a source for those switches (there are no assembly numbers on it), please post it! The best price I found on a new console was $127!
