Breaks Squealing

When my car warms up after driving for about 10 minutes I can hear my breaks start to squeal at freeway speed nonstop until I lightly depress on the breaks. Was wondering if anyone would know what the problem is and if it is an easy fix.

So it only squeaks when I'm driving and stops when I press on the breaks.

Thanks.

I have about 35,000 miles. I just took the car in about a month ago and they said the breaks were still good. I would think if the breaks were the problem they would squeak when I press on them. In my case they seem to squeak after they warm up and go away when I press down on them.

most likely the spring that pushes the pads appart, so that they dont touch the rotor, broke.

if thats the case give me your address i have a bunch of brake parts for the speed

well, it's an easy fix if u've done breaks on MSP before.
if not, then bring it in.

with 35k it should still be under woranty.

I have had pads go bad and squeak only when my foot was off of the break. It can happen.

hellcat, you were right.

I took my car to Mazda and they did absolutely nothing. They told me it was probably break dust. They also told me I had about 70% left on my pads. So I drive off and the squealing is still there. Mazda sucks.

Anyways, I just turn up my music and ignore the squealing. Then just last week my check engine light came on. I took it to a friend instead of Mazda, never going back to Mazda again. He fixed everything including the breaks squealing. He told me what hellcat said, that the pads on the inside were gone. He told me Mazda probably only looked at the outside pad without even looking at the inside pad because he said the outside pads looked decent. Grrr. Now I'm even more mad at Mazda. =[

Well, at least everything is good again.

Does the MSP's have a spring on the front pads? I had an '02 Mazda Protege ES and it did have a spring looked like an enlarged paper clip bent up. I noticed the MSP didn't have one of those springs. Thanks

Anybody know that if the MSP has a springs on the front calipers? I am having issues with noise on mine and this would explain it. Thanks

you just need new brakes cause mine went out at 42k and it was the worst noise ever on the highway and what not, and on top of that i got break dust on my rim and with the rain it crusted on there.
