Brand new to the Mazda scene

Hello everyone, I have just recently purchased my 2015 Mazda3 iGT and I absolutely adore it. I am a first time Mazda owner also and just as any car enthusiast, I am going to add a few mods to it. Can't wait to share with everyone the progress and such.

Welcome to the Mazda enthusiasts group. Isn't it great that such a small car company can beat all others at the sporty, economical, reliable, and affordable game? I'm on my 8th Mazda purchase, over a span of 35 years and still have 3 of those in our household. I guess you can say that we keep ours for a while.

Thank you, I'm really excited to be part of this group. Especially since this is my first brand-new car. I'm usually purchasing used vehicles and I'm now seeing what I've been missing out from purchasing a new car. Coming from the most basic RSX I had to the 3 iGT, I felt like I was in a luxury car. The fuel economy on the car just leaves me speechless every day also. So yes, the Mazda is the great of all.

The problem is very few people seem to participate in this forum. After i got my 2014 m3 i touring hatch m6 tech pkg etc i began posting but few responses. It is a great vehicle but i have a feeling not a lot of mazda buyers out there and those who do buy could care less about research that leads to joining a forum like this. On the other hand, the firum for my 2014 jeep cherokee is jammed every day.

Forums are especially useful for obtaining answers to questions relating to "issues". As a moderator in a very large Lexus forum, I can tell you that this forum is often lifeless, no doubt because most Lexus vehicles are rock-steady reliable. On the other hand, the Corvette forum is always jammed, since there are so many things that go wrong with those cars (any generation). This is also true of most American vehicle web sites, for the same reason. Yes, enhancements are also a fairly large part of certain forums, especially off road and sports car forums, but believe me, no Jeep will come close to a Lexus when it comes to reliability. The same can be said when comparing a Ford Focus vs a Mazda 3 - much more "I got this check engine light/malfunctioning heater controls", etc in the Ford camp than the Mazda camp.

Reliability can be boring when it comes to forums, but it can also be a good sign.
