Brand New Momo Italy Shift Knob

i believe it makes it easier to shift (less force taken) and it also reduces vibration because of the rubber crap.

wow, you didnt even take the shifter out, hope you didnt melt the white plastic rings around the ball of the shifter ;)

and you got the boot off without removing the whole center console, how'd you do that?

no no i was really careful and with these two types of metal the upper part would disapate the heat and not transfer it to the shifter shaft .. but also the leather boot easily comes out ..it is only held down by 4 little plastice flaps i guess (lack of better word) .. see the boot has four slices in it and these "plastic flaps" are what goes through them ..so you just remove the cup holder and reach underneath and pullthe boot down a tad adn slid it off of the "plastic flaps" but i must say there is no vibration and or down side to this little mod .. i love it and it is sturdy as a rock ..

its all good then (thumb)

ill try and get my boot off mp5raycer style tomrrow :) Must get that plastic ring's outer diameter smaller...

I would probally blow torch my fingers off, im not risking it. I'll Just buy a short throw shifter instead at a later time.

Me with a blow torch = (flame2)

for DIY, i just dremeled the oem boot  , made the hole bigger so i could snuggly fit the ring up my momo knob.. i didnt even need that bottom screw cap... and now no gap and looks great :)

btw i have the b&m SS so i'm not sure how it'll look on a stock shifter :D

Dam brought back an old thread. I got a short shifter on mine now , so that momo knob is gone.
