Brand new CX 7, transmission keeps looking for gear

:
Mazda CX 7, GS 2011, AWD 2.3 turbo
Good day,
Newbie here, Thanks for your great site BTW.
I just purchased a 2011 CX 7 AWD 2.3. I just took my first lonf trip with it, a 600 km trip (350miles), most of it was highway, the vehicle seems to always be shifting, I meam every 15 sec I can feel like gear change or maybe the turbo starting, this happens at different speeds. The vehicle is still new 900km on it (560 miles).
I will call the dealer but was wondering if anybody else experienced this, or is it normal?

Thanks and have a great day.

The transmission has a Lock-Up torque converter. If you frequently change speeds it will lock & unlock which you can feel. In addition; the RPMs will change about 400 rpms when it locks or unlocks.

OK, but every 15 seconds, literally all the time, I can undrstand wind small hill etc.. but it was all the time.
The vehicle is going to the delaer tomorrow, I will let you know the outcome.

Thanks.

Update,
I picked the vehicle last week, they are not sure of the problem, they have to wait to test drive another similar vehicle and compare. They called me back and my vehicle is definetely shifting too much.
Left the vehicle for a second time, thet changed the transmission module, picked the vehicle, same thing if not worst.:(
I will hopefully update you with better news once they have eard from Mazda Canada.

Update,
The dealer has ordered a new transmission, they dont know what the problem is exactly, but do not want to change parts in the transmissiom.

Problem, they dont know when the part will be in, intil then I have a rental paid by Mazda.

ANOTHER UPDATE,
After I wrote tothe dealer, Performance Mazda in Orleans ontario, they contacted Mazda Canada and have arranged to replace my vehicle. Next week I will be getting another vehicle, brand new and we have upgraded to a GT. Off course we are paying the difference.
It seems they have never had any problems with CX-7 tranny, Mazda will take it apart and look at what seems to be the problem.
HOPEFULLY SOON, we will be ZOOM ZOOMING.

Mazda and the dealer have definetely come through and delivered the service, and they stand behind their product and their customer.
I will let you know after taking delivery.

Picked up our Black Cherry GT last Friday.
Everything os good and we are enjoying a happy ending and the zoom zoom feeling.(cheers2)
