Not sure but I think your rotors are backwards.

here's my setup :) I've got MS6 rear brakes as well.

what did you do for the parking brake? i just re-routed the line and zip-tied it in new places, but no one ever seems to want to accept that as a solution lol

I havent gotten that finished yet. I'm contemplating doing a hydraulic ebrake setup

I didn't know your veins were straight lol.

Alright guys, one more question. Is there a difference in caliper size between different trim levels of 6 and Fusion?

The MS6 stops pretty well and the stock brake setup works well during track driving for a 3600+ lb. car, putting that setup on a 2800lb DD protege seems like overkill to me

So a couple junkers have a pair of fusion calipers for 100 bucks. Does that sound like a price I should jump on, or wait it out?

Back with an update, well, more like updated questions!

My first concern is whether or not there will be much of a difference in stopping power or fade resistance going with either the MSP or Mazda6 calipers. I would like to think bigger is better, but will I even be able to tell? I would love being able to say "check out this sweet brake upgrade I did!" or "check out how big my brakes are!" However, my car is by no means a beauty queen so all I truly care about right now is performance.

The other thing I am concerned about is remanufactured vs buying used on the forums. Remanufactured parts are cheaper, and seem to be in like new condition, but I have read some horror stories about them not being the exact correct size or quality concerns. On the other hand, used would be worn, but at least I will most likely be able to confirm everything about the part before I purchase it.

I am the type of person that likes to spend the least amount of money possible, but get the job done right the first time. Which leads me to doing tons of research and asking questions! Hopefully I can come to a conclusion soon. Planning on renting a space in one of those DIY garages in a couple weeks to do brakes on my car and suspension on a buddies Miata.

Thanks everyone!

pretty sure MP3racer used oe brakes on his MP3 just with better pads and he was fine. It's not a heavy car.
