brake rotor compatibility with other proteges

hi all!

does the mp3 share the same front rotors (diameter/thickness/lug pattern) as any other protege models? it appears nopi.com thinks the 2001 2.2L 'es' rotors are interchangeable with the mp3.

the mp3 and the msp have larger brake rotors than the protege ES. and no protege came with a 2.2L engine.

does the es have the same brake rotor size as the dx/lx models? perhaps nopi.com mistakenly designated the mp3 replacements as 'es.'

depends on the year i think. the 2002 and up ES has five lug rotors front and back and the LX/DX has four lug rotors up front and drums in the rear

aha! not sure if this link works but it's the brembo catalog from the official site www.brembo.com. it lists the 2001 2.0L 'es' and 'mp3' as having the same front rotor part #25349. the dimensions are 258mm diameter x 22mm thick x 48.5mm tall. so, i will be ordering a set from nopi.com soon - cross my fingers they get it right.

they wont get it right and you will be the one paying for shipping back to nopi.

it's possible, but they did get the proper brake rotors for my miata to me very quickly.

if brembo says the mp3 and es use the same rotors, then nopi's 'es' rotors should fit the mp3 fine.

anybody know of a reputable vendor with comparable pricing?

most generic rotors are brembo (at least most the NON ebay ones)
