damn thats alot...

i got new front slotted rotors for 170 and pads for 55..

225$ and took me about 1.5hrs to install.. this was my first brake job.. I could do it again in 30 mins... i got a little confused where those spring clips went (hand)

Hey guys back on topic right quick... ... My brakes are pretty bad.. and im not tryin to spend that much for someone else to do it... I wanted to up grade my rotors/pads too... so.. to do it your self... all you have to do is take the old ones off and put the new ones on right?? My boyfriend replaced his on his legend by himself.. so ill get him to do it... but i just wanted to make sure there wasnt anything else youu have to do...

Someone posted about flushing the brake lines and changing them... do you have to do that?? how hard is it to replace them???

i bought rotora front rotors and hawk hps pads.. all you have to do is remove the calipers, replace the pads, pop off rotors, and install the new ones.. pretty simple. I didnt bleed the lines at alll..

total cost 225.

Dont forget to readjust the calipers to comensate for the new pads... the shop manual I linked to has a step by step....

yea.. you have to press the calipers in with a clamp, then once re installed i pumped the brakes a few times.. let it roll and pumped them again.

So far so good.. i cant remember how good the stock ones were, but these are much better than my worn OEM pads..

BTW if you don't wan't to do it yourself- I would go to another brake shop- for example, brakes plus told my buddy he needed to get the rotors replaced, took it to someone else- a local shop and they told him it was bs- they were just trying to get money out of you- thus the free brake inspection...
