I've been trying to get the brake light mod to work, and it works great except for one quite... big issue.
Since I have the EU version with no parking lights in the trunk, I have to wire up the whole thing from scratch.

I have wired the parking lights from the number plate lights, and as I tried to wire the brake light from the spoiler connector, this happened:

It may look perfectly normal, however I assure you it's not. It's blinking reversed! When the light is first turned on, only the ignition is on. When I depress the brakes, the light goes dimmer.
What has happened here?
For reference:
I have connected ground -> ground and power -> power. I tapped in to the black and white spoiler wire for the brake.
