Like Dakine I have the metalcast blue anodized paint on my calipers and engine bay. Looks really good on the calipers but I am slowly changing everything in the engine bay to a new color scheme(color coded blue with silver/white accents) and I am going to leave the calipers anodized blue(cause it looks pretty pimp) but may eventually switch over to gold calipers.

Personally I think red calipers are overdone. And when your doing something to your car so you stand out I prefer to be in the minority than the majority. I am actually trying to find specs to see if Jaguar calipers would work on my car since I could probably get em for free. some nice brembo silver calipers would be pimp. Otherwise blue for now, maybe gold later.

edit, I also have blue anodized stem caps for the valve stems on the tires, just some ichibahn caps I found on sale for 4 bux so I got em and they match almost perfectly to the caliper color.

i think red is ricey. If you must paint them color match them or spray them black
Ricey eh?

This is nice...not rice.

I catch a lot of people checkin' out the car at stoplights, and then you see their eyes slowly move down to check out the brakes. I think it's a nice touch!

It's ricey on a car without sporty intentions...like if you did it on an Echo, but not on a P5. Had a guy from work who drives a 3-series BMW ask me if I bought expensive brake pads for it because they were red. Go figure.....

thats cool dudee that just not my style. i find it rice to have colors down there unless you upgrade the brakes. i know it covers rust too but thats why i say color match.

Senor...I hear ya man; no blood no foul. I agree that you shouldn't advertise what you don't have, but the stock calipers are soooo ugly that I needed to cover them.

Color-matched would look good if you can find something close...with my car it would be pretty easy, but not a dark blue.

Whichever you decide, go with G2 paint -- it's epoxy based so you'll never need to touch it up.

Glad I already did mine and I don't want to go through the hassle of taking it off...cuz you're making me think about it waaaay to much! ;)

I think red looks pretty good, especially with mcstark's profile shot. The calipers really help accent the tail lights from the side.
