First off, just want to say you guys got a good thing going here, as for the info I have found on this car is in great abundance...I purchased my car about month ago and already have been bitten by the Mod Bug...My last car was a GTP, so I'm somewhat familiar with forced induction...Added smaller pulleys, CAI, headers, the usual list...but this is my first turbo car...and I'm loving it...not to ramble on any further, I'll get to my question...I just installed a HKS BOV setup for VTA...I ordered a CAI along with it but the BOV came first, so I installed it...Did notice a difference as it did take up some of the lag...and what a sick sound it makes...but problem is, car is rough when shifting(assuming from CPU adding fuel for the air I'm dumping) and backfires on low RPM shifts...after reading some of the other post, the MAF is to blame...is this VTA going to cause long term damage or just create unwanted sideaffects such as poor gas milage, fouled plugs, ect...?...advise is wanted, so let me have it...
