BOV of choice for guys running the stock nipple for the BOV

+1 on the turkey sounding cool, def makes heads turn and my mechanic friend laugh

I am just curious, but wasn't there a thread on here where members were talking about the Turboxs bov's leaking air at idle? Asking, because the freaking USPS have 'lost' my GReddy Type-S... if they can't find it i'll be looking to get a RFL also. My buddy runs them on his 300zx and it sounds mean!

my TXS definitely does not leak during idle, and if it did i'm sure you would definitely notice as the car would struggle to stay running.

if they do you just have to add a the washers they supply to make it harder to open up the valve and you will be good to go.

well that makes a lil nervous haha, but ill see what happens when i get mine. i just love the look and sound to much to not take the chance haha. Thanks for the info though.

Np,

at the bottom of that page are adapters that supposedly connect the RFL to a 1.75" dia. hose or a 2.00" dia. hose... do you think those could be used to connect to the bung on the Turbolife pipes via. a hose and clamps?

i dunno what size the nipple is on the FMIC, justin cut his off and got the piece welded on in the same location the nipple was. So i think that is what im going to do.

But what your talking about could work too. I just want a solid connection that.

Yeah i hear ya on that. I just don't want someone to ruin the finish on my black chrome pipes by welding a flange on. Plus i can run the stock bov in recirc with the flange turbolife has on the pipes if my car runs like crap with the MAF relocated.

i really wanted the black pipes but with me cutting them all up and welding i knew it was going to get ruined. The black pipes look so sweet though.

hey do u guys know if the turbolife will work with the stock intake? i just dont wana have to dish out another 300 or so on an intake.

Im having a shop cut of the nipple of the Turbolife FMIC and weld on the RFL adapter :)

I just gotta find a place.

Then afterwords get it re-powder coated black

Then cut it up for the MAF to be placed on the coldpipe XD

y dont you do all the cutting done then get it powder coated?????

And the thing that I did with my FMIC setup was to get a pipe that already had the TurboXS flange on there, it was one piece, no welds, VERY cool product.. with rolled ends for the couplers to stay on better.. I took this pipe and put it on my hot side, and it worked out well.

dont think that will work to well with the turbolife hotpipe, but might work on the cold pipe though.
