Both key fobs stopped working!

Knox, do yourself a favor and invest in a dictionary. That is all.

I'm going to buy a dictionary, and while I'm out I'm signing you up for lessons on how NOT to be a douchebag. I'll send you your class voucher later today. (cool)

I sense some sexual tension between you two. Just give each other a reach-around and make amends already.

OP, I'm still interested to see what the problem is. Have you called the dealer yet by any chance?

Spoke to the dealer today. Since I'm going in for my first service next week, he said to bring both fobs so he can trouble shoot. Said it might need reprogramming or perhaps batteries

same problem here...find any solutions yet?

I've had the same issue with my speed 6. the advanced keyless entry just started working intermittently. some days it works fine, other not at all. i have taken it to two dealerships. the first gave me two new reprogrammed keys (we are talking about the credit card style keys, not the switchblade) even though i told them i thought it unlikely that both keys would crap out at the same exact time. (i mean, common logic anyone?) anyway, that actually worked for about a month or so, then it started again. went to take it back to the dealer only to find that they lost their franchise, so i took it to another dealer, and they told me that, in their infinite wisdom and using their awesome powers of technilogical trouble shooting...they changed the batteries in the keys, and fixed the problem...WOW! funny thing...the day after i picked the car up...it did the same thing. Can anyone help here? The dealerships are obviously worthless, and i'm running out of warranty.

That sounds like a problem with the keyless entry module. If replacing both batteries and both fobs doesn't fix it, then the module's the next logical step.

And to Knox...as an unbiased 3rd party...1 of the 79,866 registered users of this site having double dead fob batteries is only 0.00125% of the users and STILL "unlikely" to be the cause of the OP's trouble. Unlikely does not mean impossible. It's just like it sounds. It is not likely, as in "not a common problem." Now you two kiss and make up.

Sure does, especially with the intermittency. Sounds like the molex connector may be a hair loose. Plugged in, but not clicked.
