There is a trick to it. I have an RX8 and mine says CHECK CD when I put in a burned CD. The trick is once you put the CD in, keep pushing the button to go to the next track. You have to start pushing it right away and keep pushing it until the CD reads. This works 99% of the time for me. Once in a while it does not work and I put in the CD again and redo the trick and it plays just fine.
