I have an 08 MS3 sport non navi. And i'm starting to piece together items for a sound system upgrade. I discouvered that the Bose option for them comes with a sub that is under the passenger seat. If I buy one, will it fit under my non bose car? I'm assumeing it will, but I wanna make sure before I locate and buy one. Of course it wont be my only sub, I have a 10' for the trunk, but this could help make it sound good with this side sub up front. Thoughts?

I'm no expert, but I remember that with subwoofers the human ear cannot distinguish where the sound is coming from. I think I got that from a bose tech or something from a bose store

Essentially that means you can both mount a sub anywhere in the car, and that you only really need 1

So you don't think having a second one under the seat wont make any difference? I would think it would to some extent. Either way, I still need to know if it would fit.

I just don't know, sorry

But I really think 1 good sub setup is better than having multiple setups, especially when one would be stock

With two you will require two amps and have twice the work to wire them up and to configure them unless you're routing everything to a 2 or 4 channel amp. From personal experience in a shop, you'll have better luck doing it yourself with just the one sub and still be happy with the sound. It all depends on the power and voice coil of the sub and proper configuration to the amp. In otherwords, do your research and don't just settle for a best buy 'package'. I had and still have a hifonics Brutus amp with an mb quart sub. Beautiful and powerful.

I'm sure it will physically fit, car manufacturers tend to put all the studs, wiring looms, etc in every version.

but the unit itself is crap, particularly the driver.

If you have already gotten comfortable with losing the hatch space to a sub, then your all set. a decent 10 in the hatch should be able to pound you silly.
no sense distracting your ear with two sets of the same freq at very likely different phase

That bose sub is limited to the amount of Hz it can put out because of it's size. It's diminutive. Toss it, get and 8'' or a 10'' along with a PAC.

Not to mention the ridiculous PLASTIC enclosure. It is silly to even call that thing a subwoofer. I should wash my mouth out now for doing so!!!

Hahaha true true
I've got an mb quart 1200 Rms. Trying to figure out myself trying to get it in.
