Installing the Bosal Cat-Back California system was very simple.

Unbolt the four bolts holding it in place with a deep socket 14mm.
Slide the hangers out of the rubber holders. (W-D40 helps)
Bolt the other in its place. You will need to knock the studs out of the catylitic section to put the new bolts in thier place. This is done easily with a hammer.

The new exhaust just bolts up in its place.

Very easy!!!!

Here arre some pictures for everyone to see how much beeter the Bosal looks versus the stock. Polished looks GOOOOOD!!!!

SS or not

so i just checked out the bosal website to find the catback system. and they didnot say if it was SS or not. and do you like the sound or do you think the Fed is better.

Mac Daddy check the other post,

I wanted the federal version.

But recieved the California.

According to my supplier and the bosal site....if you have a 2002 you need the California system.....don't really know why....they list both systems on the Bosal site but their catalog only goes to 2000....the part numbers are 112-209 for the California, which btw is the new CHAMELEON system with changeable blot on tips, and 112-210 is the federal system.

Gene, YES the systems ARE SS....304 SS to be exact...and if it matters...they are polished from one end to the other.

Jag....why did you remove the bolts from the CAT? just courious....I just used the ones that were there...personally I liked the stock fasteners better....the heads/flanges on the nuts are larger on the stock ones so you bet a better holding force once tightened.....I just reused the ones on the cat insted of banging on them to remove them....put the NEW ones from the kit in a can with other nuts and bolts in my shop.

As Jag pointed out...if you get this system.....do NOT hesitate to spray some WD-40 on the rubber hangers to get them off .... if you don't..... you will be fighting them for a long time.....I don't care how new your car is.... mine had less than 1000 miles on it when I did the switch...was still clean as a whistle....and they were still a BIT*H to get off untill I did the same thing.

Gene...are you familiar what an early MG or Jag sounds like? this is real close to what the bosal sounds like on our cars....VERY SWEET......very nice low tone....growley.....not to loud...but just loud enough. I can not believe that ANYONE would or could be disappointed with this system.

What car meet?

Hey razhael, are you talking about the auto show meet we had? That's the only one I know of. We need to all get together sometime though. Let me know what's up.

ben, was that at the dallas auto show? i was there on friday! (that week)
we need to meet one of this days, but seems like i will be the only one stock :(

Razheal,

If you would check the car meet section we did invite you.

I think specifically.

I am trying to set another one up if you look in the car meet section under dallas ft.worth car meet.

I recieved the copper locking nut fasterners with my new exhaust, I just like those better.
