boosted p5 stalls???

:
mazda ptotege5
whats up guys ,,,I have a 2002 p5 boosted running like 4.5-5lbs of boost
and most the time the car will stall out if you rev to apprx 4500-5000 rpm and let off the gas (which is kinda dangerous) cuz when this happens i have Zero brakes maybe because they are (brembo Gran Torismo)monsters and need alot of pressure to fuction properly

Any help you can offer would be great and Thanks in advance

We have power brakes, so when the engine is not running, the power assist is not functioning. The stalling seems like a fuel management issue.

I would ask hat this be moved to the forced induction sectiion, as 99% of the p5 ownersout there don't have boost.

the reason you stall is your bov is after your maf........ it looks nice but you will stall because your car thinks it has more air then it does.......

relocate your maf or run a recirc to eliminate the problem..........

nevermind you are running a recirc...........

i have no advice then.........and will shut up now

higher cc injectors, and a bigger fuel pump might help. check your ecu (or ems if you have it) and make sure your engine is getting enough fuel. because i have to agree with RaiderMP5s diagnosis that its a fuel management problem. sounds like your engine is losin fuel after you let off the gas. hope you figure it out soon

honestly my car stalled when i let off the gas due to to much fuel......... it bogged out and died instantly........ yes i have 2 xtra injectors!! but fuel , to much or not enough will cause this!!

i had this problem with ym car when i got it bosted (6lbs) but got a hks ssqv and solved most of the smaller problems. i do have my maf before the BOV, and still have this problem when going from full boost. i do have a new fuel rail and fuel pump, so i dont think its fuel related. do you have a pos bov or a decent one?

i stalled the first time with the maf before the bov & venting and went right back to the shop and moved it to after the bov and never had a stalling issue.

edit** how long have you had the issue? how long have you been boosted? has it been consistent?

i bet it's HOW you have the air recirculating. the recirculated air is causing turbulence in your intake pipe, the MAF sees that and shuts it down. same thing happens with mine, but it's only under extreme cirumstances (since my recirculating hose is angled away from the MAF instead of at a 90 degree angle like yours). change the angle of your recirculating hose/bung and you'll be gold.

i think. :D

i think your not getting the exhaust from the car out fast enough, in that case the car will shut down. for example, it is just like putting a rag over your muffler for certain period of time. eventually the car will shut down.
