Boost Guage or Dash Hawk?

Hey there guys, I was considering a boost guage, but after hearing that the MSD Dash Hawk has parameters for reading boost and other modes I think that this might be a better bet.

I have searched for direct information about this unit in the forums, but it seem that alot of people dont have them or care to discuss them. Why is that?

Is the Dash hawk worth the money? Does anybody have pics of it in use? Does anyone have any cool mounting tips?

I have both and yes the dashhawk kicks ass. I got my dashhawk used for 100 bucks its well worth that.

dashhawk ftw.... i have it and it's like having unlimited gauges available from the obdII port... plus a performace meter and you maintain the sleeper look

actually, it's got so many parameters available that its kinda overwhelming at first.... like "where do I start???"

and it reads everything off the 0bd2 port?? You don't have run any wires or hoses?? that's unreal I have been looking for this for awhile

It plugs directly into the OBDII port thats to the lower left of the steering wheel. No additional wires are needed. And the cable detaches at the back of the unit as well so its really easy to unplug to take into the house to hook up to the PC. Mines sitting here right next to me plugged in as I type ;)

Hey there guys, just got my dash hawk from the guys at Street Unit! Great guys, they are local and they even brought the dash hawk to me! Thats what i call customer service! These guys have got my business and I suggest anyone looking for parts do the same!

Anyhow the display is pretty overwhelming, there are so many parameters that I dont know where to start! I definetely hae more reading to do on this product before it is fully useful to me!

Congrats on your purchase! Hope you enjoy it. I strongly suggest you go over to the MSD DashHawk forums and grab the latest firmware and PC software updates. I believe they are on Beta 10 now. Theres quite a few things they've changed and it keeps getting better.

Once you're set up with the new software, you can take a look at my current profile as a starting point to see how I have mine set up.
