Boost cut in cold weather with clamp

Ok i am having a problem latley with getting boost cut in 4th gear since the weather has gotten colder when i try to run 18psi. I have a clamp installed and last night i confirmed its working correctly so i am not sure what is calling this. Max pressure i was seeing is 19.5 and it was a short spike. This started happening after i had my race pipe and exhaust installed. On my low boost setting the car is fine which is 15psi.

just get a fuel pump, or the internals kit and rebuild your pump. i had an intake, tbe, fmic, bpv, and a tune and was still scared to get a fuel pump, but its probably the best thing ive done to the car, runs so much smoother, idles better, starts better, and no cut.

Boost cut and loosing fuel pressure are two different feelings.

At what voltage do you have your MAP clamp set at...? I had to set mine to 10PSI in order to totally eliminate boost cut.

yeah i suppose i could be wrong, i dont know a damn thing about map clamps and boost controllers. either way, the fuel pumps help immensely though, good luck working out the kinks!

I still have not see solid eveidence that a fuel pump is needed on these cars to make any HP. Ive seen a few instances where they have been faulty and new one has fixed isolated issues but for the most part it seems our stock fuel system is no where near maxed out right now, some say its good for well over 400whp. My car started cutting out randomly as i added more and more mods, the only thing that really fixed it was the cobb ap, its completely fixed my fuel tuning problems and cutting out issues and also smoothed out the power band. so be fore you go out and start buying Map clamps, MBC's, BOV'S and new CDFP's, to Bandaid your problems, do allittle reasearch.(smoke)

I agree with Nig here. I had a little stutter around 5.5 RPM's myself on and off. My AP fixed it as well. I no longer get any stutter at all and I'm very pleased. I'm also running the Stock FP.

My fuel pressure never drops below 1500PSI which is fine. Actually when I did have the sputter, I never saw any drop in PSI. That is why I never jumped on the CDFP Upgrade bandwagon.
