Boost control options - need opinions

There are some people on this forum who really know their stuff when it comes to boost control systems. I`m hoping some of them can give me some feedback as to the pros and cons of different approaches to bumping up the boost level just a little (I think 2 psi should be enough). I am not going to be getting a tune for this and, from what I have read, for this small a bump, I don`t need a map clamp.
I have in my hot little hands a Forge MBC and a Forge Wastegate Actuator.
The way I see it, I have three options.
1) Install just the MBC.
2) Leave the 7 PSI spring in the actuator and install both the MBC and Actuator.
3) Put a heavier spring in the actuator, have no boost lines connected to it so that the exhaust pressure is self regulating against spring pressure, and tweak the boost by adjusting the rod length. This takes the solenoid and MBC completely out of the picture.
Thoughts, intelligent comments?

i will one day buy the standback and use it to control my wastegate selenoid to level out at 17psi - i like the few milliseconds of time it takes where you get a bit of spike and surge of power before it levels out at what you want vs doing it the manual way it just goes exactly to that point and stops - i would only do that if i were going to have a better turbo that made better power at lower boost in the first place - by the way i wouldn't go over 17psi on the stocker

MB guys, WG actuator guys, where are you? Come on, we know you are out there and are getting good results with your setups.

i need a boost controler with the corksport tbe exhaust and a cs shot ram and upgraded fuel pump and boost cut killer im spiking at 23.5 lbs im gitting a little nervis was looking at a manual boost control.. but what about 1st and second? kinda same problem dont mean to thread jack

Pull that boost cut killer until you get some kind of boost controller in there.
Think about it. You took the car`s built in boost control out of the equation. You have to put something in there to take its place.

I ran an MBC for quite some time. You can easily run one at 17PSI, but as soon as you hit 18PSI you will cut. I didn't have any issues except without a Map Clamp there were days where you over boosted.

To be honest I would suggest a Map Clamp as our car is really really weird with a MBC. From day to day I hit different max boost with varying conditions. I would set my MBC by doing pulls in 4th starting at 3k until I got the number desired. However, with our car there is a BIG difference between running one gear and rowing through the gears not to mention 5th and 6th. It will be very hard for you to maintain 17psi max without over boosting and getting Cut.

However, with a MBC and Map Clamp, I ran 19PSI without any issue for a long time before I got the AP.
