today's update.. didn't get a lot done, but made the upper brackets, and installed a filler neck in the upper radiator hose.. The lower hose will have to be in 2 pieces. The 1.25" universal hose I got was too short. So I'll have to make it like OEM with a pipe ther to connect the 2 pieces. The actual intercooler will get mounted at a later date. procrastination for the lose.. I also tied off the OEM radiator overflow hose, and will use the one on the new filler neck. Using a Stant 16psi cap for a domestic car.
yep. it only cost me a night of passionate love making (i wish)..
Well, the lower hose is on, filled it with my special mixture of water, mud, and coolant. Changed the oil. then drilled the hood for those hood pins. Now I'm track ready again. Assuming I go to the track this weekend. 80% i'm going. if not, then I'll work on the intercooler install. Maybe even clean it up for Kevin.
well, the relocated radiator held up fine, along with all the new mounts, including on a couple of *ahem* off-track excursions.. Even without 'proper' ducting for the radiator, the temp gauge never got over 11:30 on the gauge.
