Howdy folks,
I was just curious if anyone in Columbus or the surrounding towns had planned on going to the BMW Ultimate Drive event this Wednesday. I've been the past 2 years, and though the cars are all steptronic automatics, it's still a hoot, overall. They'll have cars ranging from the 328i to the Alpina B7 (you have to be at least 30 before they'll let you drive that one, though, so i'm out) and everything in between, including the twin-turbo 335 and 535 models.
As a bonus (for those of you who have no clue what this event is), for every mile you drive in one of the event cars, BMW donates $1 to the Susan Komen Breast Cancer Research foundation. It's a win-win... drive excellent cars, help save ta-tas!
Postscript: for those of you who are delinquents and have no self-control (like me), the cars are not governed, there is usually interstate highway involved in the pre-determined driving route, and the traction control *is* defeatable.
Carry on. Hope to see a few of you out there on Wednesday.
