Bluetooth connection.

Does anyone else in this forum aside from myself is not happy with the bluetooth connectivity on the 3rd Gen 6. The audio comes on automatically when bluetooth picks up the paired device, even if you turn off the audio and the fact that the phone book needs to load everytime. is not user friendly at all.

There's alot of the same complaints from owners about the infotainment/nav in the new 6. The system in the CX-5 is nearly identical, and we have heard the same complaints from them as well. I have a '13 CX-5 w/ the tech package/Blose, and while it isn't the most intuitive or user friendly on the market, it does its job. I bought the CX-5 for other reasons. And this issue wont stand in the way of me purchasing a new 6.

have u tried turning off BT on ur phone before driving? having BT off saves ur phone battery too..

That's the whole purpose of bluetooth audio, no wires. It was one of the features i was looking foward to the most. It just doesn't work the way it should. I like to have wireless connection is just that I dont like that is starts up on its own and audio doesn't pick up where you left of after you turn off the car.

OP:
I am not seeing the problems, check if your phone is listed as one of the supported devices on the mazda site. Iphone 5 and Samsung Galaxy s4 work just fine for me.

My only complaint about it is that it takes a about a full minute to connect every time I take off.

I have BT issues with my 2014 Mazda 6 GT but I think I figured out the problem for one issue, shuffle.

I like how the car plays music right away because I always have music playing when I drive but it forces my phone to play files in order and not randomly. This annoyed me to no end until I found this site and someone mentioned using the voice command, 'Shuffle All.' I tried and it worked but intermittently. It turns out I just need to wait 1 second before saying the command after pressing the BT button.

One issue I still have which is annoying is when I press the 'pick up' button, it ALWAYS gives me the prompt, "valid command are.." and then it lists 5-6 commands before allowing me to say something. I went to the dealer and the guy there figured out that if you press the 'BT' button after the 'pickup' button, it will shut that b**** up and let you speak. The downside is that I still need to give it 1 second after pressing the BT button in order for it to work properly. Otherwise, the car will just say, "Phone" which isn't what I said.

I love the paddle shifters and the 150ms delay in shifting. Much faster than me trying to change gears on the manual transmission.

same issues, slow load, delayed reaction, switching between Pandora and Bluetooth to my mp3 is nightmareish if I don't turn off one before turning on the other.
