Bluetooth audio static

I just purchased a 2011 CX-9 GT and love it. We have the bose/nav system and one question I have is that after pairing my wife's iphone 4G, the bluetooth audio sounds somewhat distorted. However, phone conversations via bluetooth and other audio functions are crystal clear.

Do you think this is a iphone issue or car issue

I think I figured it out after doing some google searches. I turned off my wireless connections on the iphone and the music now seems to sound clear over the bluetooth audio.

I wonder what the sample rate of the audio is over bluetooth compared to 3.5mm line in compared to an actual communication interface i.e. the port at the bottom of an ipod/iphone, plugged into a head unit's usb port??

You may also want to play with the phone's gain setting. I had the same issue on my 2010 with my iPhone 4and realized that the phone was sending the headunit too hot of a signal. I reduced the phone output (either via the slider on the screen or the volume buttons (when in iPod mode) to about 3/4's and all was well. I always keep my wi-fi and 3G connection running and never had an issue with static. Some drop-outs every once in a while (probably due to environmental/competing RF signals)

I just got the 2011 CX-9, and haven't played around with the BlueTooth yet. I have a Droid htc MyTouch. Very simple question...should I be able to pair my phone with the CX-9 and play my music over the audio system? I've never used this type of option before. Assuming the answer is yes, will the quality be better than the aux port option?
