Blueprotegelx Turbo Build

Saves on time being under the car. Now I don't have to take the stock oil sensor out of place and just worry about connecting coolant line and adapter plate. saved me 5 minutes. lol

I like the 25 day period! Classes end on Friday, head back home, pick my car up on Monday and hopefully g/f's parents will be back by then from NY. I don't want to leave the g/f alone at her house cause it's back in the woods. So, if her parents are back by Monday I'm gonna drive the car around for a bit on Monday make sure everythings operational and compression numbers look okay. If everything is okay and her parents are back, Monday will be the day, if not i'll atleast install gauges, vac block, pcv valve and try to install fmic.

Edit: I will try to take as many pictures as possible. Is there any specific pics anyone would like?

but seriosuly.... thanks for the future help on the oil and water line setup....

Ive been following your build,(2thumbs) definitely gonna take some pointers from you when I am doin my setup (Hopefully soon). Have almost all the parts, just waitin for the cash flow and time!(im in school too)

yea if ur doing the throttle body coolant bypass trick take lots of pics of that cuz im still confused by it lol

thanks!

Is there a how to on the coolant bypass? Although I have heard about it, I'm not sure exactly how to do it. I've got to study for my Math Final tomo so I'll try and do a search later unless someone provides a link here before hand.

Since your following along if you have any questions ask away! Although I feel pretty comfortable about boosting and what not, there is still a lot to learn. But the best thing is that there are plenty of intelligent individuals on this forum to fill in the blank. lol. Hopefully all goes well and I can do this next week.

definitely will be asking... I am pretty sound on the theoretical side of things(Doing my masters in automotive engg majoring in engines) but never had the money to experiment on a car... this is my first time venturing into this... lol kinda ironic i know... anyway... all help will be appreciated... you really should do a "how to" on the install cos i see a lot of people boostin 3rd gen's. just a suggestion... :)

it's easy! just take the coolant lines going to the throttle body and disconnect them. then connect the other ends of the lines to each other. did that make sense? lol. you could probably use those lines to run coolant to your turbo too.

This is just a rough sketch. But essentially just route the two coolant lines that connect to Throttle body to one another? Possibly use a plumbing piece and clamp? I'm not sure how the lines route at this point but is it possible just to take the lines off and route a longer tube from where coolant line A runs to coolant line b's pipe? Basically like this:

Pretty impressed with my drawing. ha

Yah, u don't even need both lines anymore. Just yank one off and loop the other one onto it. Done.
