Blue book value

I purchased my MSP with somewhat high miles (117k) at blue book value. The only mod done was FMIC. Is the blue book an accurate way to gauge the value of these cars? Being a rare car I'm beginning to think more about it. Probably something I should have considered before purchasing but I'm curious none the less.

If you paid anything over 9k you got ripped off imho. They are rare cars yes, but that doesn't mean IF its ragged out its still worth that.

i got mine with roughly the same miles, 3" VIBRANT, custom smic w/weapon r hardpipes and injen intake for 4k how much did you pay?

wow i got a good deal then for stock with less miles for 12,000

technically it was something like 12.4, after taxes and everything it came to around 13. which was a pretty good deal at the time, i looked around for an msp for 6 months.

Wow that seems like a good deal. Most Proteges around here sell for 3-4k I got the MSP for 5500. How did you get it so cheap? Was there something wrong with it, body in good shape?

when i look up the KBB value, it says that there wasn't enough sold to give an accurate estimate on the vehicle's value....where are you all getting this?..........cause i'm ready to sell if i can get what i owe lol

Try edmunds or NADA. Either way don't expect much more than wholesale unless what you are selling is truley a unique gem and you've matched it with the right buyer.

needs some stupid things, had 2 or 3 exhaust leaks, which new gaskets fixed. and the only major expense so far have been new wheel bearings.

wow guys are lucky... imagine still owe a little over 12k on the loan of the car.. ill be done 9/2012 ... reson why mine isnt fully built but with time...

i got mine for 5700, 75k, bone stock, new paintjob clean car fax no accedints. some doucher put a dent in it above the passanger rear wheel so that was a huge barganing chip, but me and my stepdad do body work so i didnt really care. muahaa
