I've got a friend that lives in VA and used to hang out there quite a bit back in the day. It really depends what part of VA you are moving to. If you are moving to Northern VA (NOVA), the traffic absolutely sucks during rush hour and it quite heavy all throughout the day. If you move to a less congested part of the state, you should be fairly happy.

On a side note...it's a commonwealth state, so the cops are pricks. You also have to pay property taxes on your car every year. VA also requires inspections on your car every 2 years unlike MD where you just get it inspected once. Oh yeah....you can't legally tint your windows darker than 50%. I was driving in VA with MD tags and got a ticket for tinted windows and had never been bothered in MD.

Oh yeah...alcohol is another big thing....it is heavily regulated....you can usually only get liquor at an ABC (Alcoholic Beverage Control) store. These stores usually close at sundown and they don't sell beer at ABC stores. You have to get beer at a convenience store or grocery store. What's funny is you can buy a 6 pack of brew and a gun at Walmart all in one trip.

I haven't decided where to move yet. But when i was traveling down to south carolina I got a good vibe from VA. once i crossed the border into NC that feeling left FAST!

move to TN dude its the best .. and i come from Nh so i can deffinatly say ..that this was the best choice in my life .. everything is here and it is soooo cheap to live here i mean i got me a brand new 4 br house with 2 car garage and huge yard in a beautiful neighborhood with all huge brick houses and it is barley $1000 a month and there are thousands of houses as big for rent under 1000 a month. the roads are awesome and the weather is the best it was 62 yesterday although we have major floods in the last two days .. the guy who delived my daughter that works with my wife at the hospital had his house leveled buy a mudslide (1st on in tn) and he was trapped for 9 house in the mud and debris... he may loos both his leggs due to severe hypothermia :O) but common down to TN lol the only place where you can see in person dolly partons tits every day lol

I have several things I don't deal with. The first is common natural disaters like flood, earthquakes and tornatos and the other is rediculous taxes!

Honestly I realy want to move to Texas but the girlfriend won't allow it.

3000 broken tires all over the road didn't help matters. Nor most of the plant life being dead and a brush fire on the side of the road. Not to mention the number of asshole drivers pulling that he's a Yankee bulls***. The 99 Mustang GT that couldn't outrun me then wanted to fight me on the side of the road comes to mind. Basicly just another POS white trash redneck.

hey now, we have a good vibe, but not on I 95, that place is evil. i think all the JR's and South of the Boarder signs threw you off.

south of the boarder signs polute that road, there the bright ass neon ones, with random thing suck on there. and jr's is a big warehouse type sellers thing, that has 230918203812 billboards. i hate driving that road just cause theres so many billboards, looks too crowded.

I remeber seeing those billboards on my way to Florida. Hey if you thing VA has alot of tires ont he road.....try coming up to MD...you get broken tires and 50 million broken down cars!!
