Blower motor resistor for HVAC

Our CX-9's AC just started acting a bit weird: the rear works just fine, but the front will initially turn on, then won't work no matter how high you turn on the fan or how cold you set it. Putting on full will eventually make it work, but then it will eventually stop working (even though the graphics indicate the fan is on full).

A quick search seems to point to the blower motor resistor. Part is not that expensive, but does anyone know if this is a job I can do myself? I don't have the repair manual, so I don't know if I need to take apart the blower motor.

Part number seems to be W0133-1814067

Thanks!

I must suck at the search, because all I find is Protege discussions on how to do it. Any links to the CX-9? I also found a piece of a service manual that seems to show the replacement, looks like all I have to do is take off the bottom cover underneath the glove box, and the blower motor is right there. The resistor appears to be behind the fuse box. So it might look easy I guess.
