Ehhh... They kinda got weak. Not as much edge as the original stuff that got them where they are. They didn't end up as bad as Offspring, but it was close. Maybe a break to re-coup will do them good.

and I've gotta give them some credit.. their later albums weren't too bad.. just different from what they were before.

I'd have to agree with that.

My friend darren is from Iowa, he says Blink 182 used to be called just "blink" and he would see them play around town all the time and thought they were cool, but then they sold out and added #'s to their name and tried to sound like the descendents, thats a sure way of selling out. IMO.

serious tho, how much poppy middle school level s*** can you write when you're in your 30's ?

most bands that make it have great old stuff... why? because they grew up in thier garage writing music for years and playing shows all the time. Then when they are signed (every artist dream) they have to SELL music, and to be extremely sucessful you have to appeal the general population... mtv etc. So they work for a year writing songs that fit what they are asked for.
