Hey I have a bunch of black silacone looking stuff on my paint, it rubs off if I take the time to do it, I didn't notice it untill a couple of days after I got the car home. Has anybody else seen the same on there car??
Ive only seen it around my headlight assembly...pretty sure its from dust or something burning off in the heat of the light and sneaking out the side...i have no idea why itd be on your roof
this residue is all over my car and it is caused by the adhesive that is on the plastic protectors for the shipping of the the car.. they have to wax off the adhesive and they usually dont get it all off... when you do your 3 stage wax on your car it should come off... if you just try to wash it off and rub it out its a big pain in the @$$... so i would reccomend using a 3 stage wax to get it off...
