that i own is sick
i was washing my car today and i noticed i have these little black dots all over my car. they wouldnt come off even when i scrubbed real hard. Any ideas of what the could be. I did just go on a trip to the beach but still even if it was tough ass grime it would come off with a hard scrubbin, ya know. I have some minor chipping paint also so im takin it to the dealer on friday, let those assholes deal with it.

Turtle Wax makes a Bug and Tar remover that works wonders that waxing couldn't do for that kind of stuff. There's been a lot of road construction and with summer approaching Miami, the tar and bugs have been coming thick and fast, so for the next 4 months I'm going to swear by that stuff.

that will do the trick. Let it sit on the car for a while, and it will come off easier. Depends on how warm it is though. Clay bar would be my next step after that, then wax so the tar doesn't stick so well from that point on

later

that s*** works wonders... took it all off, thanks

eh I just use clay bar for old and abused surfaces that feel rough

tar remover for the tar... but usually I can scrape it off with my finger nail :)

Those black spots are the primier under your paint. It is happening to my car as well. I have only washed it 5 or 6 times. This has happened to another car i know as well. you can eithier deal with it or repaint, or get a carbon hood.

But good luck trying to get a dealership to do something about it.

Around my area there is a problem with mold spores in the air from the mulch people use in their yards. The spores land on cars and the sides of houses and start to grow. On the car it looks like a small brown/black dot that is REALLY hard to get it ... but work at it long enough and they do.

Isn't that bad for the paint/clearcoat?
