Spicy Orange MSP #1287
Can someone tell me what the color code is for the black 03 msp? I'd search but I'm in class and need it asap. Stupid phone loads pages hella slow. Thanks!

I thought that was it, but wanted to make sure. I'm in school for collision repair & painting, and i'm getting ready to paint the black mica. The spicy is listed as a tri-coat but not the black. Wierd... I'll post some pics when I finish it.

Yup. I got to spray the spicy orange yesterday and it turned out awesome.

i heard that what makes it sparkle and all that is in the clear coat is that true or is the person i heard that from smoking crack? any pics of that?

I thought it was the metalic flakes in it that make it sparkle.

but i heard those flakes were in the clear coat on the spicy color, i heard if it was sprayed with normal clear coat it would just look like a flat orange kinda like the hugger orange, sense he sprayed it maybe he can clear that up for me

haha yeah it is, thats why i just wanted a to get the right answers about that haha he painted it so he should know haha

It's a flat orange base coat, then a midcoat with the pearl/metallics then a clear coat on top. The black has the pearl & metallic mixed in with the base, then a clear coat.

No problem. I didn't get a chance to spray the black today but I've got it mixed for tomorrow. It looks nice even in the cup :) I get to take home that spicy orange bumper piece tomorrow too so I'll try to get the pics up tomorrow.

Okay, so we got involved with our next assignment in class and I didn't have time to spray the black mica. Here are some shots of the bumper piece I sprayed with the spicy orange. This was the VERY first time I sprayed color and clear coat, so it's not perfect. The orange dot is where I touched the midcoat with my finger on accident :) You can see how all the metallic and pearl is in that midcoat, and not the orange base.

And one of the side project I'm working on for the teacher. This is what will be painted black mica. It's about 6"x12" long or so.
