Bird Strikes

I didn't know where else to post this so I'll try here...

...I own a 2007 CX-7 White in color. Since I bought it in September, I have hit around 15-20 birds! What the heck is going on? I thought I was being attacked because of some weird reason but my wife drove my car and hit a bird too!

These things come out of nowhere and dive right in front of my car and then splat! I pick a bird or two out of my grill almost every car wash. I thought one was going to come right through my windshield!

This is not a joke! Does anyone else experience this crazy phenomenon?

Keep hittin' 'em! The pigeon population is way too high. I've got a black car and I've only hit one. The wifes 7 is red, she's never hit any.

I would/will, I am just worried that sooner or later they might damage my ride somehow!

It'll take a pretty large bird to do any damage. I hit a wet duck at 50mph once, square in the middle of my windshield and it just slid off. I suppose it could've knocked my grille out (2002 Altima) but most birds aren't heavy enough to crack a windshield.

I hit a squirel above 65 mph as it stood up. It did quite the damage to the lower valence and lower grill. If it hits the bumper or something other than your grill you should be ok. You need one of those whistle things that are suppost to scare away dear. J/K

Anyway, are any of these birds alive after you hit them? I'm just wondering becuase I pulled over the first time I hit a bird, and couldn't find it.

Later after i got home, i kept hearing chirping. I found the bird stuck between my grille and my radiator.

If I find the birds they are usually in pieces...don't know about the ones I don't find.

I was driving home today and a HUGE freakin bird almost flew into the open driver window!!!! I mean it came within a foot of being on his way home with me. I imagined jumping out of my car like Chris Farley "covered in bees"!

Maybe I need to have an exorcism performed on my car....(laugh)
