Bigfoot?

Hoooooly what the.......?? Your 5'11" and have flippers for feet? (boom07)(boom03)

I wear my big ol' georgiaboot steelies every day to work and get by fine driving.
I do get honked at alot though......hmmmmm..... (lol2)

Flippers for feet?......yeah my feet are big but its never caused me any issues with driving or anything else. I've never really worn boots but I'd imagine I wouldn't be able to drive well in them. No one can really tell that I have big feet and most people don't believe me till I show them the shoe size.

im around 6'3 and wear a size 15 i have not had very many problems in the msp, guess im lucky, then again i never wore steel toe boots in the car either

6' 1.5" size 11.5, I usually wear either soft loafers (kind of like docksiders) or low heeled western boots and never have a problem with the pedals. On the other hand, I have a 35" inseam, so I have to have the seat all the way back then reach forward for the wheel and the shift. If one of you maniacs who enjoys dismantling their car wants to figure out how to move the steering wheel assembly two inches further into the cabin, you'll have my undying gratitude.

I hear you I have a 36" inseam (try finding jeans on sale) and I find that by,

1. pushing the seat all the way back
2. pulling the steering wheel up and out as far as possible
3. Lowering the seat to the lowest setting
4. tilting the seat nearly vertical

I have a nice driving position. Imho with the seat all the way vertical (as far as it will adjust up) I have a nice positive pressure on my back that holds me in place. I look very anti-gangster but it is fairly comfortable; and with the seat back I don't have to angle my legs when I bend them.

What kills is when my 5'10" wife hops in, skoots the seat all the way forward and jacks it up three clicks (she likes to hug the wheel I guess) and doesn't tell me. I try to get in but get stuck halfway with my knee pinned on the steering wheel....

Well, I guess it's about time I reply.

First, those are not work boots. They are Rockport (somethin or other) casual shoes in 10W. At their widest point, they're 120mm across - about where the picture shoes them touching the console.

Other shoes I'm currently wearing in the car are Ecco sandals at 120mm, Asics Gel Kayano running shoes at 115mm, and my Vasque Sundowner hiking boots that come in at 105mm (narrowest, but not the best driving shoe). I have some Allen Edmond and some Bostonians that are in the 110mm ball-park too.

It's too bad that I'm most happy wearing the Rockports most of the time. The idea of switching shoes to drive the car doesn't appeal to me. I've even driven with cycling shoes in the past because I didn't want to change (I've left the helmet on too! - when I wore one)
