Big Brakes for CHEAP!

you're an awesome mod.

it's a site. it's the only place i know where to get them.

napa has all four 07 MZ6 sport calipers and rotors on their website. a little pricey, but they have them. rears are about $130 each including core charge, and fronts are about $100 each including core charge. then, you just need rotors and pads.

Post a picture of it
and how much they will
cost!

Used prices are relatively cheap from a salvage yard... try car-part.com as has been suggested here, or buy new parts from your local parts store.

are the ford fusion ones bolt on as well??? Did they pull the Fusion brakes from the same parts bin as the MZ6??

Has anyone come up with a bolt on solution for the rears yet?? I'm really fearful with just upgrading fronts to a larger brake esp the MS6 ones and do nothing with the rear set-up. I can just imagine the rear swinging around in a emergency braking situation.

the rear setup is FINE as is combined with an upgraded front setup. and no, there is likely not a bolt-on solution.

think about it... you're making the front brakes STRONGER.. so the back is LESS likely to swing around in an emergency stop.

i'm buying my brakes this coming week. rears and fronts. also gonna buy a speed 6 ebrake and some other things. to see what i can make work.

looks like my post was deleted anyway, I guess the community is truly dying

what post was deleted?
honestly I did most of my research on the probe and mx-6 websites as there was pages and pages of very helpful information.
I got the "starting" info from this forum, out of all the info here, I didnt learn anything new.

probe guys confirmed that the 06-08 Mazda8, Ford Fusion, Mercury Milan, and Lincoln Zepher ALL use the same 11.8 rotors, and calipers.

the 03 to 05 Mazda6 brakes are about the same as the 2001 Mazda 626, and mazdaspeed Protege brakes.

Mazda Millenia S with the dual piston can work with a custom made bracket.
and can be used with the 3000GT rotors.

im sure theres more info, but thats what I got from lurking around the probe forums lol

and I believe someone is trying to see if the CX-7 brakes will fit.

if you notice they deleted *that* post as well, kudos to you for quoting it and keeping it preserved

anyway all I did was mention the name of a site (that I have no affiliation with other than KNOWING ABOUT IT) that has all of the MS6/MZ6 front components ready for point-and-click purchase (once again I don't make any money by mentioning this, just trying to spread relevant and useful information for the good of the people looking for it-!!) for those who are looking for a setup like this on their MSP/3rd gen protege. of course I'm sure this will be deleted as well even though plenty of people still mention S*reetUnit (which isn't the site I was mentioning anyway) and no one has a problem with that.

whichever mod/admin is doing this, please PM me so we can discuss it..

anyway, feel free to ask me anything about the MS6 front setup, I run this on my car and was present for the entire installation of the setup on my car so I'm pretty familiar with almost anything about it. just let me know what specific info you're after! :)

whichever coward moderator or administrator is doing this needs to PM me so we can discuss this logically.

that's fine, if it elicits a response then all the better. I've been civil about this in my last posts and been met with nothing but unexplained post deletions.

EDIT: but in the interest if maintaining civility, I've edited the wording.

the link isn't starred out for fun. the guy ran round here advertising himself without supporting the community. affiliated or not, the board doesn't support that, and personally I think its bulls*** (him, not you). your civility is appreciated. I was hoping you'd take the hint without the need to make it formal due to your civility.
